Whether your hair is long, short, thin, thick, or curly, you can try the space bun style. If you have short hair, it is difficult to find a good style to enhance your beauty. Luckily, I showed you how to make a space bun on short hair in my last post. Today, I'm going to tell you how to add braids into your space buns, along with some of the most popular space buns hairstyles of 2022.

I. How to add braids into your space buns?

1. Braid your ponytail

Choose braided ponytail over twisted ponytail to avoid flying hair. After you've braided the same section of hair into two braided ponytail, tie each ponytail with rubber band. Now, when you want to twist the braided ponytail into a bun, the hair will be stronger. The ponytail can be braided whether you're doing a half up or full space bun.

2. Braid a Dutch braid

Add a double Dutch braid to the front of your hair for a stylish look. After parting your hair in the middle, braid the first section from just above the outer corner of your eye. As you move back, gather more hair into the braid. When you get to where you want your space bun to be, stop braiding and pull the rest of your hair into a small braid. Secure Dutch braids and the small ponytail with elastic and form a bun to complete this side.

Do the same for the other part of your hair, creating two lotus braids on top of your head, and then into two space buns. If you're worried about your lotus braid coming undone when you're about to braid the rest of your hair, hold it in place with elastic first.

3. Braid the rest of the hair

Braid short hair at the back of your neck so they don't come loose. Part your hair all the way back and use clips to separate the sides. Turn your head over and start braiding one side, starting at the base of the neck and working up the head. Once you reach the top of your head, secure the braid with elastic and continue to form the rest of your bun. Repeat the process on your opposite side to create another bun as well. When your head is turned inside out, brush your hair again for a smoother look.
